Brothers and Sisters,
It is with great sadness that I inform you of the duty related death of Brother Michael P. Lynch of Chicago, L2. Brother Lynch passed away Saturday, September 28th from occupational cancer. Brother Lynch was 50 Years old.
I apologize for the late notice, but we just got this information this evening.
By orders of AFFI President Chuck Sullivan, the AFFI Honor Guard is activated.
Brother Lynch’s services are as follows:
Visitation: Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024, from 1500-2100hrs, at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home- 6901 West Belmont Ave., Chicago, IL 60634.
Uniformed Personnel Walk-Through: Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024, at 1900hrs, at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home- 6901 West Belmont Ave., Chicago, IL 60634. Honor Guard members should arrive no later than 1830hrs.
Funeral Service: Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, at 1000hrs, at St. Eugene Catholic Church- 7958 West Foster Ave., Chicago, IL 60656.
Interment: Private
Again, I know this is late notice, and it will be hard for many to get there. But this is what we do: Whatever It Takes. Please do what you can do be there. Please bring tools for the services in case they’re needed. We will all do what we can to Honor, Cherish, Remember, and Salute Brother Lynch, his family, and his Local.
