Education

Education is provided by the AFFI by a variety of sources. The AFFI District Vice Presidents hold 2 District Meetings per year to provide an opportunity for different firefighter locals to network and share what has been happening to other firefighters in their area and statewide

There are also guest speakers, federal, local, and state politicians and legislators who share what is going on in Congress and the General Assembly. We also have different attorneys there to share what is going on in the courts on cases that directly affect firefighters.

The AFFI also provides different forums for formal education for our members. These include a New Member Seminar, New Officer Training, an annual Pension Seminar,  an annual Legislative Conference in Springfield, and various other trainings for our members.
